What's this all about?
Creative Parenting Club is a global community of creatively-minded parents dedicated to supporting each other through the journey of being a creative person with a family.
Forget the usual internet parenting advice — this is something different.
Founded in 2023 as the ParentSounds newsletter, Creative Parenting Club is about OUR lives as creative people who became parents: our personal ambitions, casual interests, and everything else that represents who we still hope to be as humans while we try our best to raise our kids.
This is a space where parents come together to share the joys, struggles, and triumphs of navigating life as both caregivers and creative individuals. We are here to encourage and celebrate the experience of balancing family life with the passion to create, explore and thrive.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to creativity: from discovering imaginative approaches to parenting, to amplifying the voices and talents of creative parents around the world.
Through real, relatable stories, we aim to remind each other that we’re not alone in this adventure.
Cool, that sounds good, but what does it mean for my inbox?
Every two weeks, you’ll meet somebody who is engaged in a creative or artistic pursuit (and who also happens to be a parent). From dancers and musicians to writers, artists, filmmakers, and creative directors, you’ll meet parents working in a wide range of creative professions. You’ll also regularly meet parents who aren’t necessarily professional creatives, but for whom creativity plays an fundamental role — people with unrelated jobs and working lives who are doing what they can to keep unleashing their creative energy while balancing family and other commitments.
In between, we’ll publish regular essays and other writing curated by our editorial team, while providing a platform for interesting creative projects led by parents from all around the world.

Check out our podcast page for the full archive of interviews with creative parents featured in our newsletter… and stay tuned for the relaunch of the Creative Parenting Podcast in February 2025.
Our hope is that this community can help different people in different kinds of ways. Every parent profile is packed with ways to support the talented people we feature — whether by buying their book or music, giving them a follow, hiring them for a project, or simply sharing their work with someone who’d appreciate it. Our mission is to help creative parents amplify their voices, showcase their passions, and feel a sense of belonging in a community that gets it.
Along the way, you’ll find essays and stories that challenge your beliefs, stretch your perspective, and remind you that, even on the hard days, you’re doing a great job.
By building this community, our biggest hope is that what we all can inspire each other to keep doing the things we love, even as we live our double lives as imagined superheroes to those adorable bundles of life-changing responsibility also known as our children.
Here’s to embracing the beautiful, messy balance of parenthood and creativity.
Let’s keep cheering each other on.
Wait, who are you?
Creative Parenting Club is primarily written and produced by a two-person team consisting of Diego Ain and Matthew Buccelli (that’s us 👋)
We met in our home city of Berlin as co-founders and organizers of the Kinder Rave: a community of parents coming together for regular techno parties with our families.
Each of us brings a slightly different angle to the story of parent creativity.
Originally hailing from Brazil, Diego is a Latin Grammy-nominated live techno musician whose original productions and collaborations with brands have brought him worldwide recognition. Since having kids, he’s experienced the joys and challenges of bring his life as a father of two young girls in line with his established career as an electronic music performer and working creative.
Born in the US, Matt has built a career in Europe as an independent event producer and marketing professional. Years of creative interests and side projects have culminated in him putting himself through the unique experience of learning how to DJ while already having two small kids at home… the start of a long rabbit hole which led him to start organizing illegal family techno parties and eventually, this community of creatively-minded parents.
As part of Creative Parenting Club, you’ll hear regularly from us with some of our own thoughts and observations as parents integrating creativity into our lives in different ways.
But ultimately, this community is about you. Inspired by our experiences around other creative parents, we’ve seen just how many talented people there are with incredible stories to tell and valuable insights to share about the realities of balancing creativity and parenthood.
This project, more than anything else, is an attempt to tell your stories — we’re just here to make it all happen.
